What exactly do you do in tea ceremony lessons?
The content of lessons varies depending on the number of people and the season, but can be broadly divided into two categories.
While it is important to remember the rules in both classes, the aim of the lessons is for the host and guests to enjoy tea together.

・炭をついでお湯を沸かす
・薄茶を点てる
・濃茶を点てる(道具を拝見に出す) など

Customer training
- Enter the tea room and take your guest's position - Drink the tea and sweets that are offered to you.
・See the tools prepared by the host, etc.
Clothing : Either Western clothes or a kimono are fine.
What to bring : If you have a cloth, fan, or kaishi, please bring them with you. If you would like to use any of the items listed here, we will lend them to you free of charge.
Regarding sitting in seiza position : It is better to sit in seiza position when performing tea ceremony, but you do not have to force yourself to do so. We also have seiza chairs, so please feel free to inquire.
Regarding various licenses , we will assist you with those that are within the scope of what our instructors can handle.
Parent and child discounts: At Imeko, we offer parent and child discounts because we want even small children to experience the tea ceremony.
Practice Overview
The duration is about 3 to 4 hours (please feel free to come and go as you please)
The price is 10,000 yen twice a month, including charcoal, tea and snacks. (If you bring your child, the price is 18,000 yen for two people twice a month.)
One trial session costs 5,000 yen. Charcoal, tea and snacks are included.
Practice location: 3 minutes by bus + 5 minutes on foot from Ofuna Station (details will be provided when you make a reservation)
